Les fondations
Les fondations diffèrent largement à travers l’Europe au niveau de leurs objectifs, de leurs procédures et de leur structure juridique. Certaines sont uniquement opérationnelles (c’est-à-dire qu’elles développent leurs propres programmes et recherchent des fonds qui correspondent à leurs activités), tandis que d’autres octroient des subventions, offrent leur soutien aux particuliers, aux organisations ou aux projets.
Certaines fondations de financement trouvent principalement leur origine dans la culture (financer la mobilité, les échanges artistiques, etc.). D’autres brassent un domaine plus général et possèdent des objectifs et politiques de subvention plus larges qui s’adressent à divers domaines, comme l’enseignement et la recherche.
