Le financement alternatif

Ces dernières années, les dépenses du secteur public pour la culture ont contraint les gens concernés à imaginer des solutions alternatives au soutien financier « conventionnel » et bien connu des secteurs public et privé, qu’offrent les gouvernements, les fondations, les donateurs et parraineurs privés. De « nouveaux » instruments financiers sont actuellement explorés. On trouve parmi ceux-ci les banques éthiques et les organisations de financement social, qui considèrent les objectifs sociaux, environnementaux et culturels tout aussi importants que la rentabilité. Elles octroient des prêts, non des subventions. Certaines autorités publiques ont également créé des agences intermédiaires qui peuvent aider les opérateurs culturels à obtenir des prêts plus conventionnels auprès des banques.
